They may as well start researching what or who Genō is, and what they/it may mean for the future of Fortnite.įortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android. Until then, though, there are likely to be a few players who won’t quite know what to do with themselves if there are no snipers in the game. We may see a new Exotic sniper over the course season, or even snipers in LTMs, just for those who aren’t too worried about playing the game hyper seriously. However, it’s important to note that snipers, whether that’s the Bolt, Heavy, or something, will not come back to the game over the course of the season. No doubt players will find some compromises and still be able to pull off tricks, but for everyone else: it’s time to pull back that string and start using bows. This does unfortunately mean that trickshotting is no longer really a thing now that the Bolt isn’t in the game, or even the Storm Scout following Lexa’s removal as an NPC. Players need to get to grips with them as they’re likely to be a major item over the course of the season. Epic have gone all in on bows this season and clearly want them to be used properly. Introduced to tie in with the primitive theme of the season, there are many different bows in Fortnite, whether it’s the Makeshift Bow, Primal Bow, Mechanical Bow, or any of the special bows that you get from crafting. Most Sniper Rifles use Heavy Bullets, while some use Medium Bullets. The purpose of these weapons is for long range combat. The reason is pretty simple, though, and doesn’t take much guessing: they want you to get to the grips with the bows instead. Sniper Rifles are a type of weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale. As always, Epic have shaken up the loot pool at the start of the season too, meaning that there are no sniper rifles currently in the game.Įpic haven’t yet acknowledged or mentioned why these weapons are no longer in the game, and they likely won’t. I can already imagine sweating with panic with a whole squad of players shooting at me with these from somewhere I can’t pinpoint and I cannot wait.Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 6 has been a pretty drastic overhaul for the Fortnite experience already, with crafting being a pretty huge mechanic, along with the introduction of The Foundation, the leader of The Seven. The Suppressed Sniper Rifle could be a game-changer, though it entirely depends on its bullet drop and just how silenced it actually is. Crossbows are known for hunting so this makes the Crossbow the most likely choice of weapon. It could also appear in a completely different form, so watch this space. Also when it was first announced that there would be a new silenced weapon coming to Battle Royale, they did also say that it would be silent hunting on a whole new level. There’s no release date for this just yet and no guarantee that it will come in the next patch as some Fortnite items are datamined and then don’t turn up forever. It comes with almost three seconds of reload time, which isn’t the worst. Lucas7yoshi – Fortnite Leaks January 5, 2019Īs you might expect, it lacks the punch of the other Sniper Rifles and deals 100 damage for Epic, 105 for Legendary - no details on the headshot stats just yet. Heres a MUCH better render of the suppressed sniper! As if the game’s weird audio and hit markers weren’t enough to send you into a spin after every shot rings out across the map, a Suppressed Sniper Rifle also looks like it’s on the way to Fortnite.ĭataminer Lucas7yoshi, who is something of a dying breed with Epic Games clamping down hard on those who leak content from the game early, has discovered the files for the new weapon lurking in Battle Royale after previously being a Save The World Item.
